Seven flights operated on the "Avram Iancu" International Airport in Cluj recorded delays on Thursday due to the ice removal procedures.
"We have seven flights that have delays due to the defrosting procedure, the procedure of removing the ice that formed on the airplanes. The planes wait in line for defrosting. In arrivals there are delays of the flights which supposed to land from Bucharest, at 09:00 hrs, Malmo respectively, at 10:15 hrs, and in departures there are delays of the flights that supposed to leave for Luton, at 06:00 hrs, Bologna, at 06:50 hrs, Bucharest, at 07:00 hrs, Bari, at 07:30 hrs and Luton, at 08:00 hrs. The weather forecasts reveal that winter conditions are still valid for Thursday and the night of Thursday to Friday," operational Director of the Cluj Airport Iuliu Pop stated.
In Cluj-Napoca temperatures of zero degrees were recorded and it snowed on the night of Wednesday to Thursday.
