Romania is interested in Saudi Arabia's expertise in political and security developments in the Middle East, Romania's Defence Minister Adrian Tutuianu told Director of the Intelligence Committee and Military Security of the Saudi Arabian Armed Forces Major General Abdulaziz Ibrahim Alswailem at a meeting in Bucharest.
"We have all the resources to build a solid partnership relationship, especially when we talk about a complex area like the Middle East," said Tutuianu, according to a press statement released by Romania's Defence Ministry (MApN).
Discussed at the meeting were recent security developments in the Middle East, the refugee crisis, the Resolute Support mission in Afghanistan, and the identification of new ways to extend cooperation in the field of military intelligence.
The Director of the Intelligence Committee and Military Security of the Saudi Arabian Armed Forces was on an official visit to Romania at the invitation of the Chief of Romania's General Defence Intelligence Department.
