The Ministry of Transports wants to halve the number of vehicle deaths until 2020, as compared to those recorded in 2010, by implementing the National Strategy for Road Safety 2016 - 2020, the document was presented in a press conference on Wednesday. "The Strategy has clear directions, but also measures for which implementation began. This strategy did not exist in Romania. This is a long trip and it is not an easy one, but one that starts with small steps. There is a lot to be done. We have the courage and determination to start and others to continue it. Our duty is to start presenting and clarifying, if there are things to be clarified", the Minister of Transport, Sorin Buse, stated at the conference.
The Strategy has many directions for implementation, among which research, vehicle security, transport and mobility or safety of road infrastructure.
