Prime Minister Sorin Grindeanu announced that the Executive approved, in the meeting on Wednesday, through an emergency ordinance, a measure assumed by the ruling coalition and namely the "First rent" program.
"We have adopted normative acts which are extremely important for us, for the governing program that we are going to put into practice. (...) The first point on the agenda was an emergency ordinance which regulates a point to which we engaged as well, namely "First rent". Last week, we had in the first reading this emergency ordinance", Sorin Grindeanu stated in a press conference at the Victoria Palace.
According to a press release of the Executive, in the sight of launching the "First rent" program, the Government has changed and completed by an emergency ordinance (OUG) Law no. 76/2002 the system of insurance for unemployment and strengthening the labor market, aiming to encourage labor for the unemployed.
"Thus, a relocation bonus is given to the persons registered as unemployed at the employment agencies who start a job, according to the law, in another city, situated on a distance over 50 km compared to the city of domicile or residence, and as a consequence of this fact the person changes the domicile or changes the residence in the respective city or in the cities neighboring it. The relocation bonus is given from the insurance budget for unemployment and is equal with 75pct from the amount addressed to living costs (payment for rent and utilities) in the new domicile or residence, but not more than RON 900", the press release specifies.
According to the cited source, the relocation bonus is given to persons whose net monthly income does not exceed the amount RON 5,000/month, in the situation in which the person is single or together with the family, and who has a job for a period of at least 12 months.
"The relocation bonus is given monthly, over a period of 36 months. The relocation bonus is given by request and is not cumulated with the job starting bonus or setting-up bonus, provided in the legislation", the Government informs.
