Every company in Romania must comply with the law, Deputies' Chamber Speaker Liviu Dragnea, leader of the Social Democrats stated on Tuesday. "I believe every company that is doing business must comply with the law. And I believe that the state institutions, which, of course, are now dealing with more important issues - some pig farms - should be careful if these companies observe the law, and do not take out the profit through all sorts of illegal procedures," Dragnea said in southeastern Calarasi.
According to him, the National Agency for Fiscal Administration (ANAF) has, as an example, specific verification procedures. "They can check [ANAF - ed.n] these things, whether that really is the entire profit or there are companies that have run for years at a loss, then it means that we have a problem as a country, it means that one cannot make money here, that they make profits in all countries but that in Romania, they have come across (...) heads of institutions, of companies that are weak and unable to make profits here. (...) The question was raised about big companies that do business in Romania and leave little tax in this country," the PSD leader said.
