The 3-percent government deficit won't be exceeded, Speaker of the Deputies' Chamber Liviu Dragnea said Tuesday, mentioning that the signals in this regard gave by the European Commission are "profoundly incorrect."
"When many large states have jumped over the 3-percent deficit, the European Commission had no reaction. In Romania, when the surpass of the 3- percent deficit it not even an issue, they are showing us yellow cards and giving us warnings. The governing programme will be put into practice. The deficit won't be surpassed, instead we want to be allowed to develop Romania. All these signals that are given, based on I don't know what, from my point of view are profoundly incorrect, the ones coming from the European Commission. I don't believe that this is how it should be done with a member state, even if we are talking about Romania," Dragnea states at the Parliament Palace.
