Romania has one team in women's doubles and two in men's doubles which qualified for the quarterfinals of the World Junior Table Tennis Championships in Cape Town (South Africa).
Adina Diaconu and Anreea Dragoman will play on Tuesday against French players Oceane Guisnel/Marie Migot, hoping to win medals, while Dragos Florin Oprea and Rares Sipos will also play against two representatives of France, namely Alexandre Cassin/Joe Seyfried, and Alexandru Manole and Cristian Pletea will face off South-Korean players An Jaehyun/Cho Seungmin.
In women's singles only Adina Diaconu remained in the race, reaching the third round.
In men's singles Rares Sipos and Cristian Pletea have very difficult events in the second round.
