The Agency for Payments and Intervention in Agriculture (APIA) has paid over 15.685 million lei to livestock breeders, support requested through payment applications for services provided in the third and fourth quarters of 2025, as well as in January 2026, the institution informs on Tuesday.
According to a press release, APIA, through its county centres, carried out the payment of state aid in the livestock sector (breed improvement), requested through payment applications covering services provided in the last two quarters of last year and in January 2026.
'The amount paid is 15,685,401.75 lei and is granted from the state budget, through the budget of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, for applicants who accessed this form of state aid in compliance with the provisions of Government Emergency Ordinance No 61/2023 on the establishment of a state aid scheme in the livestock sector, as modified and supplemented,' the APIA press release states.
