Over 8,300 people were employed in the first half of this year, of which more than 4,200 were women, and 3,172 were between 35 and 45 years old, according to data published on Wednesday by the Bucharest Municipal Employment Agency (AMOFM).
Of the total number of people employed during this period, 2975 were over 45 years old (over 55 years old, 922), 3172 were between 35 and 45 years old, 1904 were between 30 and 35 years old, 151 were between 25 and 30 years old (of which 77 were NEETs), and 132 were under 25 years old (of which 85 were NEETs).
The level of education of the people for whom a job was identified shows that most, 3198, have high school education, 2257 have higher education and 1718 have professional education.
Of the total number of people employed through AMOFM Bucharest, between January and June 2025, 31% are in the category of those who are difficult to employ.
In the first half of this year, 16,705 people benefited from assistance for registering as job seekers, in order to ensure social protection regarding the granting of unemployment benefits or inclusion in active measures.
