Romania advances to World University Women's Handball Championships 2016 final

Romania on Friday advanced to the World University Women's Handball Championships 2016 final in Malaga, Spain, after defeating Russia, 21-18 (10-12) in the semi-finals.

Scoring for Romania were Pricopi (5), Zamfirescu (3), Perianu (3), Popa (2), Tudor (2), Nan (1), Vizitiu - 3 (all from seven-metre throws), Andrei (2). In the final, Romania meets Spain, which won the other semi-final against Poland, 21-19. Romania and Spain competed same group, with Romania defeating Spain 20-19 in the group stage. The final is scheduled for Saturday afternoon.
