Women in Romania have 9.10 pct lower salaries than men

Women in Romania have 9.10 percent lower salaries than men, which means that from November 27 until the end of the year women are not paid for their work, according to a survey carried out by Expert Market.

In Europe, women have annual average salaries 16.68 percent lower than men, the equivalent of about two months of unpaid work.

The lowest percentage differences between women's and men's salaries are recorded in Slovenia (3.2 percent), Malta (5.1 percent) and Poland (6.4 percent). Romania is ranked 9th, with 9.10 percent.

The highest percentage differences between women's and men's salaries are recorded in Bosnia (46 percent), Ukraine (41 percent) and Georgia (34.8 percent).
