The protest in Bucharest continues on Wednesday evening in Victoria Square in front of the Government building, in spite of some incidents between gendarmes and some protesters, who threw crackers and bottles at the law enforcement body representatives.

Most of the people in the square chanted "No violence!." Some of the protesters, grouped in the Victoria Road area, keep throwing crackers and objects at the Gendarmerie teams, while most of the people are making an appeal to calm. The protest is divided between those chanting "No violence!," and those chanting "The Gendarmerie defends theft!."

The Romanian Gendarmerie made an appeal to calm and asked the protesters who are demonstrating peacefully to keep the distance from the groups of persons using pyrotechnic materials and throwing blunt objects at gendarmes. "We are making an appeal to calm and the observance of the law enforcement bodies' indications! Violence and the use of pyrotechnic materials are outside the law! We are asking the citizens who are peacefully demonstrating to keep the distance from the groups of persons using pyrotechnic materials and throwing blunt objects at gendarmes. Don't make harder the intervention of the law enforcement forces for reestablishing public order!," reads the Romanian Gendarmerie's message posted on the institution Facebook page.
