His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales visited on Wednesday the headquarters of his namesake foundation in the Transylvanian village of Viscri, where he met forestry experts and small farmers with whom he discussed the future of Romanian forests. The focus of Prince Charles' visit was a meeting with representatives of the "Pro Silva" Association.

The Prince also spoke to local producers who presented him cheeses, meat products and local honey. The heir to the British crown inquired about how they work and market their produce. At the Foundation, Prince Charles was welcomed with a menu created especially for him by local chef Robert Birtalan, who cooked for the first time for His Royal Highness. Robert Birtalan shared his story on how he got to be Prince Charles'cook for one day - following an e-mail he sent the British Royal House. His message ended at Aura Woodward, the Executive Director of The Prince of Wales Foundation, who said she was impressed by how Birtalan signed his bid - "Robert, always hungry!" The Prince of Wales Foundation is based in Viscri - Brasov County, a locality listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
