As many as 754 people called on Monday between 8:00 a.m. and 18:00 p.m. at the Bucharest - Ilfov Ambulance Service (SABIF), service manager Alis Grasu told Agerpres. "Since morning till 18:00 hrs, 754 people needed the ambulance in Bucharest and Ilfov. Of these, 446 cases were code red and code yellow emergencies. Of these, 101 people felt unwell in a public place, 26 were heat-related dizziness cases and 14 cases of fainting. There is a 18.36 percent increase compared to the same period last month," said Alis Grasu.

The National Meteorological Administration issued on Monday several Code yellow and Code orange atmospheric instability and sizzling heat warnings effective for August 7 - 8 for various parts of the country, as well as a thermal discomfort alert for Tuesday.
