MApN: DefMin Tutuianu, representatives of defence industry discuss endowment programmes status

The current status of the army endowment programmes has been the topic for discussion at Thursday's consultations held between the Defence Minister Adrian Tutuianu and the representatives of the national defence industry, at the Ministry of National Defence headquarters. "Minister of National Defence Adrian Tutuianu, together with the Chief of General Staff General Nicolae Ciuca and Secretary of State Florin-Lazar Vladica on Thursday had a meeting at the MApN headquarters with a delegation of Elbit Systems, one of the most important foreign investors in the Romanian defence industry," reads a release of the Ministry of National Defence sent to Agerpres on Thursday.

On this occasion, they analyzed the current status of the endowment programmes and centralized the operational requirements of the capabilities needed for the Army, so that he planning schedule will be observed, according to commitments made by the Romanian Government. Moreover, they also presented the possibilities in terms of transfer of technology to our country. "Such meetings will continue in the next interval according to the calendar of consultations we established with the main actors on the national defence industry market," reads the release. Participating in the meeting were also the representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Ministry for the Business Environment, Trade and Entrepreneurship.
