Foreign direct investment, down 13.32 percent in H1

Foreign direct investment went down 13.32 percent in the first six months of 2017, against the similar period of 2016, to EUR 1,841 million, according to a press release the National Bank of Romania (BNR) sent to Agerpres on Monday.

"Non-residents' direct investment in Romania totalled EUR 1,841 million (compared with EUR 2,124 million in January - June 2016), of which equity (including estimated net reinvestment of earnings) amounted to EUR 2,179 million and intercompany lending recorded a net negative value of EUR 338 million," the document shows.
