UK Ambassador to Bucharest, interested in tourist attractions and wonders of Caracal

The British Ambassador in Bucharest, Paul Brummel, on Friday paid a visit to the Caracal Municipality, showing interest in the tourist attractions here and in the so-called "wonders" of the town, while he also recommended the representatives of the administration here to exploit the local legends, in order to promote the area and attract visitors, said Deputy Mayor Octavian Stanescu, who participated in the meeting with the diplomat.

According to Octavian Stanescu, Ambassador Paul Brummel visited the Caracal Town Hall and the Romanati Museum. The Deputy Mayor also said that the diplomat knew about some of the Caracal "wonders" before visiting the town, but he also find out about others from the representatives of the local administration. "The Caracal Municipality Deputy Mayor, Mr. Octavian Stanescu, today received the visit of the Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Romania, His Excellency Paul Brummell. The Ambassador showed interest in finding out about the tourist attractions in our town and in the same time he looked quite impressed abut the details referring to the "7 wonders of Caracal". His Excellency recommended us to exploit these local legends, so as to attract visitors and also promote the Romanati area," reads a release posted on the Facebook of the Caracal Town Hall.

Octavian Stanescu looked honored about the meeting with the UK Ambassador, to whom he gave information about Caracal during the British official's visit of the Municipality.
