Romania's Copil qualifies for semis of challenger tournament in Brest (France)

Romanian tennis player Marius Copil qualified on Friday for the semifinals of the challenger tournament in Brest (France), with prizes worth 106,000 euro, after defeating French Ungo Humbert, with a score of 6-4, 6-4. Copil (aged 27, ATP's 78th) defeated his 19-year-old opponent, ATP's 474th, in one hour and 8 minutes.

The Romanian national secured 5,320 euro and 40 ATP points, for getting this far in the competition, and he is to face off in the semifinals a more valuable opponent, either French Jeremy Chardy (30, ATP's 87th) or Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas (19, ATP's 95th).
