The unemployment rate in October 2017 maintained around the same level compared to the one recorded in the previous month, namely 4.9 percent, the data of the National Institute of Statistics (INS) published on Wednesday reveal.
According to the INS statistics, the number of unemployed estimated for October 2017 was 451,000 persons (aged 15-74), increasing by 442,000 persons compared to the previous month, but declining by 496,000 persons compared to the similar month of 2016.
The male unemployment rate exceeded by 1.9 percentage points the women unemployment rate, namely 5.7 percent for men and 3.8 percent for women.
According to INS, for adults aged 25 to 74, the estimated unemployment rate was 4.0 percent for October 2017, out of which 4.8 percent for men and 2.9 percent for women.
The number of unemployed aged between 25 and 74 stood at 75.9 percent of the total number of unemployed estimated for October 2017.
