Body of King Mihai I, brought on 'Henri Coanda' International Airport

The coffin with the body of King Mihai was brought on the 'Henri Coanda' International Airport at 11:00, aboard a Romanian Air Force aircraft. 

The event is carried out in the attendance of the Royal Family head, Custodian of the Romanian Crown, Princess Margareta, Prince Radu and members of the Royal Family Irina Walker, Princess Maria, Nicolae de Roumanie Medforth Mills, Karina de Roumanie. 

Also present at the airport are Foreign and Defence Ministers, Teodor Melescanu and Mihai Fifor, chief of General Staff Nicolae Ciuca, presidential adviser Andrei Muraru, National Liberal Party (PNL) Chairman Ludovic Orban, representative of Patriarch Daniel, Metropolitan Bishop Nifon, Archbishop of Targoviste and Patriarchy Exarch, accompanied by a group of priests and deacons. 

Alongside the former sovereign, on his last journey from Geneva to Bucharest, there were Princesses Elena and Sofia and Alexander Nixon, Secretary of State Victor Opaschi, Major General Laurian Anastasof, Romania's Army representative, members of the House of His Majesty, and Metropolitan Bishop Iosif, who joined the Royal Family representatives and the officials who came to the airport. 

After a brief religious service, the king's body will be taken by car to Sinaia, where starting at 14:00 on Wednesday, he will be laid in the Hall of Honour of the Peles Castle.
