Interim Prime Minister Mihai Fifor decided to dismiss from office Romanian Police head, quaestor Bodgan Despescu, and appoint as interim head on a six-month period quaestor Catalin Ionita, the director of the General Anti-corruption Directorate (DGA) within the Interior Ministry (MAI).
Both decisions were made at the proposal of Interior Minister Carmen Dan.
