Tecau and Rojer through to ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament (ATP) men's doubles quarterfinals

The pair made up of Romanian tennis player Horia Tecau and Dutch Jean-Julien Rojer on Tuesday qualified for the quarterfinal of the doubles event of the ATP tournament in Rotterdam (ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament), with total prizes worth 1,862,925 euros, after scoring 6-4, 6-4, against Spaniards Feliciano Lopez/Marc Lopez.

Tecau and Rojer, seeds no. 4, obtained their victory in one hour and 10 minutes, and have 4-1 in direct matches played against the Spaniards. The Romanian-Dutch pair defeated the two Lopez, 6-4, 6-3, in the final of the US Open tournament, last year. Tecau and his partner already won a cheque worth 15,240 euros and 90 ATP points, following to meet a Dutch pair in the next event: Robin Haase/Matwe Middelkoop or Jasper Smit/Jesse Timmermans. Tecau and Rojer won the title in Rotterdam in 2015.
