The chairman of the Oversight Committee for the Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI) activity, Claudiu Manda, said on Thursday, after hearing SRI Director Eduard Hellvig, that there have been 565 protocols, agreements and documents concluded between SRI and institutions, since 1990, mentioning that 337 are still active.

"There are protocols signed between SRI and the institutions, since 1990 I think. In total there were 565 such documents, protocols or agreements. Of these, 432 were protocols, the rest were documents and agreements, 337 are active, 134 are denounced and 94 are abrogated as a result of the legislation's amendment," Manda said at the end of the hearing.

According to him, it has been established that all these protocols, documents should be sent to the committee in approximately a week.

"The discussion we had with the management, beyond this presentation, was that all these documents, agreements, protocols should come to the committee, and the SRI leadership's commitment was that, probably in maximum one week, these documents should come to the committee," Manda said.

He informed that of these protocols, 18 were signed with Justice institutions, which are either denounced, classified or with public character, mentioning that two of these have classified character and are related to terrorist threats.
