Justice Minister Tudorel Toader said on Thursday that a justice legislation bill is ready and will be submitted the same day to the Supreme Council of Magistrates (CSM).
Asked if the bill was ready, Toader answered yes: "Yes. And I officially send it to CSM today. I said last night that I will not publicly announce the proposed changes, simply because the CSM members should not learn about them from the news, so that they learn about them officially," Toader said at CSM headquarters.
Toader told Realitatea TV private broadcaster on Wednesday that he agreed with the members of the Venice Commission to adopt an emergency ordinance to take on the commission's recommendations on the laws of justice.
He explained that he had seven proposals and all were agreed upon - the proposed modifications were considered welcome and even needed to avoid dysfunctions.
