Prime Minister Viorica Dancila, who is paying a visit to Bacau County, stated on Friday that it's necessary to go along with prevention and less with eliminating disasters caused by calamities.

"We should have an assessment, see where the sensitive points are, in what we get stuck so that we can respond. (...) We want to go on preventing and less on eliminating (...) disasters caused by calamities and, this is why, we have to take into account all these factors and try slowly, through legislative methods, and also through investments to set up all this system. (...) Unfortunately, we've seen that nobody managed this thing for years and we suddenly woke up with the country facing calamities, several alluviums, with many problems created by the weather," Dancila stated in Targu Ocna, Bacau county, according to a stream broadcast on the Facebook page of the Government.

Moreover, the Gov't head mentioned that she wanted to see the stage of works after the investments made for removing the effects of the floods.

According to the Executive head, her conclusions following the visit "are positive" given that she noticed the involvement of the local authorities.
