Libra Internet Bank, member of the American investment group New Century Holdings, reported a nine-month net profit of 75.3 million lei, more than 20 pct higher than the 2017 full-year figure, the bank said in a release.

"Libra Internet Bank is having a remarkable period, and the nine-month financial results confirm this. The most important growth drivers were the niche segments we have been focusing on as a priority, namely agriculture, liberal professions and real estate," said Libra Internet Bank CEO Emil Bituleanu.

As of September 30, 2018 Libra Internet Bank's net assets topped 5.2 billion lei, up 11.6 pct from the beginning of the year. In the reporting period, the institution's loan portfolio reached 3.16 billion lei, and the balance of sources amounted to 4.57 billion lei.

The non-performing loans ratio is of just 1.71 pct, well below the banking sector's average of 5.56 pct.

With a market share of approximately 1.2 pct and a network of 50 branches, Libra Internet Bank has dedicated its development efforts mainly to liberal professions, SMEs, real estate and agribusiness, as well as to digital services to individuals.
