The government will adopt at this week's sitting the Ordinance on the Start-Up Nation Program, and the business plans online registration platform will open in the second decade of December, the Ministry for Business Environment, Trade and Entrepreneurship said in a release.

The updated version of the procedural documents required for the online registration with the 2018 edition of the Start-Up Nation Program was released on the Ministry's website, the business plan model and eligibility statements included.

"We encourage entrepreneurs to work out their business plans based on the released documents and be ready to register when the platform opens in the second decade of December. We are working on various levels towards the passage of the draft Ordinance at the government's meeting this week, and the release of the procedure for the implementation of the de minimis scheme in the Official Journal," said minister in charge Stefan Radu Oprea.

The financial grant of up to 200,000 lei/beneficiary may cover 100 percent of the project-related eligible expenses (VAT included for non-paying companies).

Signing up with the program, applying for the in-principle approval of the funding and the completion of the business plan in order to obtain funding are made online.

The application will be open for 30 days. The Start-up Nation 2018 Program is intended for companies set up after January 30, 2017 that operate in production, creative industries, services and trade. In order to qualify for the program the companies must create at least one full-time job for an indefinite period and maintain the position filled for at least two years after the completion of the project's implementation.
