Unemployment rate recorded a 3.32 per cent national level in end-November 2018, down 0.01 percentage points from the previous month and 0.68 pp below the value recorded in the end of the same month in 2017, informs the National Employment Agency (ANOFM).
The total number of unemployed in end-November 2018, of 289,576 persons, dropped by 603 persons from the end of the previous month. Of the total recorded unemployed, 57,496 were paid unemployed and 232,080, unemployed.
Compared with the previous month, the unemployment rate in men dropped 3.34 per cent in October 2018 at 3.32 per cent, and the unemployment rate in women from 3.31 per cent in October 2018 down to 3.33 per cent.
By residence, the number of employment in end-November is as following: 85,846 unemployed are from the urban environment and 203,630 from the rural environment.

Most unemployed were aged between 40 and 49 years old (79,664), followed by those in the 30-39 aged group (53,533), at the opposite end of the scale being persons in the 25-29 age group (17,017).
Regarding the unemployment structure, by training level, unemployed without studies and the ones with primary education hold represent an important part in the total unemployed recorded by ANOFM (30.68 per cent). The unemployed with second-level education account for 29.57 per cent in the total number of unemployed and those with university studies account for 4.81 per cent.
