Romania's ice hockey team scores 3rd consecutive victory at Ice Hockey U20 World Championship

Romania's ice hockey team defeated Lithuania, with a score of 5-4 (1-1, 2-2, 1-1, 1-0), after the match ran into overtime on Wednesday in Tallinn (Estonia), at the Ice Hockey U20 World Championship, Division II, Group A.

The Romanian nationals snatched the victory in overtime, after being close to get all three points.

The players who scored for Romania were the following: Andrei Vasile (01:47), Adam Vizi (23:30, 56:10), Arnold Buzas (36:51) and Zsolt Reszegh (64:45), while the goals of the Baltics were scored by Laisvydas Kudrevicius (00:52), Paulius Rumsevicius (21:45), Lukas Washco (27:12) and Vainius Jankauskas (56:23).

Romania's ice hockey team previously defeated South Korea's team with a score of 2-1 (after overtime) and Spain, with a score of 3-2, being ranked 1st with 7 points (3 events). Estonia ranks 2nd with 5 points (2 matches), Lithuania ranks 3rd with 5 points (3 matches), the UK stands on 4th with 3 points (2 matches), South Korea ranks 5th with one point ( 2 matches), while Spain ranks last without scoring any point (2 matches).

The event between South Korea and Spain, as well as the match between Estonia and the UK are scheduled to take place on Wednesday.

Romania's national team will face off the UK's team (at 16:30hrs) on Thursday, in the second-to-last match in Tallinn.
