President of Romania Klaus Iohannis said on Wednesday afternoon in Iasi that the current Government has demonstrated "a pitiful legislative and administrative bouncing" instead of a responsible government.

The head of state also said that "current government is endangering the country's future."

"Education and infrastructure must be the priorities of a responsible government. Unfortunately, at the 160th anniversary of the moment we celebrate today, instead of the Union, around the national interest and full integration in Europe, the government preferred a populist squabble and a pitiful legislative and administrative bouncing. Instead of a coherent vision that might ensure a sustainable development for Romania, the current government threatens the country's future with an outpouring of measures that prove to be disastrous. Romania does not deserve such politicians who are not responsible for the country. Neither Iasi, with its historical heritage, deserves to become a city of ever-promised and ever-delayed investments, especially when we talk about vital projects such as the motorway or the regional hospital," Iohannis said.
