Romania: flu death toll reaches 113

Another four people confirmed with influenza have died, and the number fatalities has risen to 113, according to the latest information transmitted on Tuesday by the National Center for Transmissible Diseases Monitoring and Control within the National Institute of Public Health.

It is about three men, one 36 years of age, from Constanta County, confirmed with type-A influenza virus, who had pre-existing medical conditions and unknown record of influenza vaccine, a 63-year-old one from Arad County, without pre-existing medical conditions and unvaccinated against influenza and a 64-year-old one from Timis County, with pre-existing medical conditions and unvaccinated against influenza.

Also, the death of an 84-year-old woman from Arad County, confirmed with type-A influenza virus, which had pre-existing medical conditions and was non-vaccinated against influenza, was confirmed.
