Romania wishes to develop deeper partnership in sciences, Senate's Tariceanu tells Israel's Ambassador Saranga

Romania wishes to develop a deeper partnership in sciences and the new technologies with Israel, Senate President Calin Popescu-Tariceanu said on Wednesday at a meeting with the State of Israel's Ambassador to Romania, David Saranga, on a presentation visit.

"Mr. Calin Popescu-Tariceanu reaffirmed the importance of the parliamentary diplomacy within the bilateral relations' development, this component being the glue to strengthening ties in multiple activity fields. He stressed Romania's wish to develop a deeper partnership in sciences and the new technologies' field with Israel and boost cooperation in the economic and commercial exchanges' fields," a release by the Senate's Press Office sent on Wednesday to AGERPRES informs.

Moreover, the two dignitaries have briefly reviewed the Middle East's situation.

The president of the Senate recalled that the Romanian authorities attach great importance to the combat of anti-Semitism, materialised in the period Romania is holding the Presidency of the EU Council by organising this March in Bucharest a conference on combating the Holocaust denial.
