The Ministry of Culture recommends, in a report published following the organization, in May, of some pilot cultural events in Bucharest and Cluj, that the activity of the sector should not be suspended during the state of alert established on the Romanian territory, regardless of the epidemiological situation.

"The pilot events were aimed at confirming that cultural actions are not a source of infection, that the participating public is responsible, that the creative cultural sector can continue its work and that the state can provide predictability for this area. The recommendation of the Ministry of Culture is that the activity of the sector should not be suspended during the state of alert on the Romanian territory, regardless of the epidemiological situation," the report of the Ministry of Culture, sent on Thursday to AGERPRES, reads.

According to the Minister of Culture, Bogdan Gheorghiu, for the return to normalcy the solution is and must remain vaccination.

In May, the Ministry of Culture organized four pilot events, performances with audiences both inside and outside, which aimed to relax the conditions in the cultural-creative sectors. Two weeks after the last event, the one outside the Bucharest National Opera, the ministry prepared a detailed report on how the events unfolded. The report provides the organizers' challenges during the pandemic, as well as a series of recommendations and conclusions.

Following the monitoring, according to an official address of STS (Special Telecommunications Service), no person who participated in the three shows in Bucharest tested positive. After the show in Cluj, only one person tested positive, following a rapid antigen test.
