Table tennis: Romania goes undefeated at the European Under-19 Championship

Romania's teams have sealed victory after victory on Sunday, in the groups of the European Table Tennis Championships for Under-19 Juniors in Varazdin (Croatia), Agerpres informs.

In the women's category, Romania defeated Ukraine, 3-0, through the victories obtained by Ioana Singeorzan (3-2 against Anastasia Dimitrenko), Elena Zaharia (3-0 against Iolanta Evtodi) and Luciana Mitrofan (3-1 against Alina Vidrucenko). In the second match, the Romanians defeated Belarus, 3-1, through Elena Zaharia (3-1 against Vera Volkova and 3-0 against Daria Kisel) and Luciana Mitrofan (3-0 against Uliana Alhovskaia). In another match, Ioana Singeorzan lost 2-3 to Daria Kisel. In the third match, Romania defeated Slovenia, 3-0: Ioana Singeorzan defeated Lea Paulin (3-1), Elena Zaharia defeated Tjasa Novak (3-0), and Adela Struna defeated Nusa Kadis (3-2).

In the men's category, Romania sealed a clear victory against San Marino, 3-0, due to the points scored by Darius Movileanu (3-0 against Lorenzo Vannucci), Eduard Ionescu (3-0 against Andrea Morri) and Andrei Istrate (3-0 against Mattias Mongiusti), and another one against Greece, 3-0, through the victories of Darius Movileanu (3-0 against Alexandros Madesis), Eduard Ionescu (3-0 against Sokratis Giannoutsos) and Andrei Istrate (3-0 against Iakovos Aivatidis).

On Monday, the men's team will face Denmark.
