INS: Number of completed dwellings up by 1,590 in first half of 2021

The number of completed dwellings in the first half of 2021 amounted to 31,355, by 1,590 more than in the corresponding period of 2020, according to data published on Friday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).

By area of residence, in the first half of 2021, most dwellings were given for use in urban areas, accounting for 62.2% of the total. The distribution by sources of financing of completed dwellings reveals that, in the first half of 2021, compared to the first half of 2020, both the number of dwellings carried out from private funds (+1,582 dwellings) and the number of dwellings carried out from public funds (+8 dwellings) increased.

The regional distribution in the first half of 2021 compared to the same period in 2020, shows an increase in the number of completed homes in the following development regions: North-East (+989 dwellings), West (+635), South-Muntenia (+379), Bucharest-Ilfov (+166), South-West Oltenia (+62), South-East (+39) and North-West (+1). The decrease in the number of completed dwellings was registered in a single development region, namely the Center (-681 dwellings).

In Q2, 2021, 17,053 homes were given for use, up by 2,207 dwellings compared to Q2, 2020.

By area of residence, in Q2, 2021, most dwellings were built in urban areas (63.4%). The distribution of completed dwellings financing funds reveals that, in Q2, 2021, compared to the same period in 2020, the number of dwellings made from private funds increased by 2,289, while those from public funds decreased by 82.

The distribution by regional profile in Q2, 2021 compared to the same interval in 2020, shows an increase in the number of completed dwellings in the following development regions: North-East (+731 dwellings), South-East (+635), North-West (+471), South-Muntenia (+222), Bucharest-Ilfov (+183), South-West Oltenia (+29) and West (+13). The decrease took place in a single development region, namely the Center (-77 dwellings), Agerpres informs.
