Men's handball: Dinamo scores sensational EHF Champions League win over Veszprem

Romania's CS Dinamo Bucharest scored a sensational 31-29 (14-13) win over the strong Hungarian team Telekom Veszprem on Thursday evening at Dinamo Hall, in an EHF Champions League Men Group B match, agerpres reports.

Dinamo managed its second group win against a four-time Champions League finalist - in 2002, 2015, 2016, and 2019.

Scoring for Dinamo were Raul Nantes Campos 6 goals, Alex Pascual Garcia 3, Mohamed Mamdouh Ashem Shebib 3, Cedric Sorhaindo 3, Christian Dissinger 1, Ahmend Moustafa Khairi Nasralla 1, Amine Bannour 4, Valentin Ghionea 7, Eduardo Gurbindo Martinez 2, and Razvan Gavriloaia 1.

Scoring for the visiting team were Petar Nenadic 9, Manuel Strlek 5, Yahia Khaled Fathy Omar 3, Jorge Maqueda Peno 3, Blaz Blagotinsek 2, Kentin Mahe 1, and Gasper Marguc 6.

Serbs Nenad Nikolic and Dusan Stojkovic refereed, and Russian Victor Poladenko was the EHF delegate.

Before the match, the two teams paid tribute to late pivot Marian Cozma, former player of both teams, killed on February 8, 2009, in Veszprem.

Dinamo will play its next away match against SG Flensburg-Handewitt on November 17.
