Gheorghita: Almost 18,000 people vaccinated at 'Marathon for Life' in Bucharest

National Committee on the Coordination of COVID-19 Vaccination Activities (CNCAV) head Valeriu Gheorghita announced on Tuesday that approximately 18,000 people were vaccinated at the 'Marathon for Life' organised in Bucharest last weekend, specifying that, at national level, over 682,000 people made appointments for one of three doses.

"Regarding the 'Marathon for Life' in Bucharest, during the weekend of October 29 - 31, almost 18,000 people were vaccinated. The same weekend, other vaccination marathon events were held in 14 counties, where more than 34,000 people were vaccinated," Valeriu Gheorghita said in a press conference.

He added that there is an increase in requests from local authorities for the making mobile teams operational.

According to the CNCAV head, over 884,000 people received the third dose of vaccine.

Also, over 682,000 people are scheduled on the platform to be vaccinated with one of the three doses, Agerpres informs.
