Three Romanian citizens arrested for trafficking in migrants

The Timis Court admitted the request of the prosecutors that three Romanian citizens, from a group of four people involved in the activity of transporting migrants from Bangladesh, be remanded in custody for 30 days for migrant trafficking, and a fourth was placed under judicial control for 60 days.

The border police identified four Romanian citizens, domiciled in Arad County, aged between 20 and 36, involved in the transport activity of a group of 11 people from the border area, found in the municipality of Timisoara.

On Saturday, December 4, border police found 11 Bangladeshi citizens between the ages of 17 and 42 with no identity documents on them in Timisoara, who were transported from the border area by car at the time. a Romanian citizen, domiciled in Arad County, was also detained. Following the extension of the investigations, the other three Romanians involved in the criminal activity were also detected and identified, according to a Timisoara Border Police release sent on Wednesday to AGERPRES.

In the case, the border policemen are conducting investigations, under the coordination of a prosecutor from the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Timis Court, under the aspect of committing the crimes of fraudulent crossing of the state border and trafficking in migrants, for the four Romanian citizens.
