Chairman of the National Liberal Party (PNL) Florin Citu announced on Wednesday that the governing coalition has agreed on the final form of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) Ordinance, saying it would provide for the possibility of Regional Development Agencies being involved in carrying out projects in education, health and social reform.

"The NRRP ordinance was discussed and a final form was reached there - the political and technical decision will be discussed - a final form in which the ADRs - education, health and social reform - could be used for several sectors. (...) These regional authorities can be involved in carrying out projects in these sectors of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan," Citu said at the Palace of Parliament, after the coalition meeting.

He said the draft budget for next year has not been discussed.

"We haven't discussed the budget. He [the Minister of Finance - ned.n.] was there because he is a co-initiator of the NRRP implementation ordinance," said Florin Citu.

The PNL leader specified that there weren't any discussion on either the solidarity tax or the COVID certificate.

"There has been little discussion about government, but we are all waiting for the budget form on Monday to look at it and see how we move forward," he said.

Asked if there is a possibility of a change in the taxation of SMEs, Citu replied: "Not at this moment".

He maintained that there was no discussion about the 1,200-lei financial aid that would be granted to pensioners with pensions of less than 1,600 lei. Florin Citu expressed his hope that this aid will be granted, as promised.

According to Florin Citu, a new coalition meeting will take place on Friday.
