On Thursday, Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca asked the prefects, in a video conference, to have a set of measures prepared so that they will be able to intervene, during the winter holidays, if the situation requires it.

"The state institutions should get prepared for the next period, which includes both the feast of the Nativity and the end of the year, with a set of measures that they can apply immediately in case of need. I am convinced that each of you has realized the complexity of the situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, a situation amplified by the meteorological situation. We must admit that, until now, we haven't had such big problems, in terms of the weather. We can even say that the weather somehow made it easy for us to work with the set of measures and interventions that we had prepared," the PM said.

Nicolae Ciuca specified that the videoconference was convened in order to be able to identify possible problems and to prepare the necessary tools to be able to intervene where needed. Let's not rush like we did in so many other occasions, when we had to find solutions on the spot, while we had not anticipated the problem," he said.
