The Government approved on Thursday Romania's Cyber Security Strategy and Action Plan 2022-2027.

According to a statement from the Executive, Romania's new Cyber Security Strategy is a target assumed in the National Recovery and Resilience Program (PNRR), which aims to ensure "a high level of cybersecurity, adapted to the new challenges posed by hostile cyberspace entities".

"As a secure cyberspace is the responsibility of both the state, through the competent authorities, as well as of the private sector and civil society, the aim is to strengthen the public-private partnership to ensure a global, open and secure cyberspace," the quoted source said, Agerpres.ro informs.

Also, the vision of the Cyber Security Strategy is that in front of an increasingly complex cyber threat, Romania will be able to prevent, deter and respond effectively, including through a proactive approach, to hostile actions in cyberspace against targets on the territory of Romania or of strategic allies, the Government also shows.
