The Stefan Cel Mare University in Suceava (USV) is receiving young refugees from Ukraine to study, in the context of the evolution of the neighboring country's situation, the academic institution's leadership announced on Friday.

The Ukrainian students that took refuge in Romania can choose from any of the study programs which are currently in USV's educational offer, and in the event that they do not know the Romanian language, they will have the possibility of enrolling in Romanian classes. After graduating the preparatory year, they will be able to continue studies in any of the existing bachelor degree programs in USV.

Students or PhD students, refugees from Ukraine, can enroll starting with the current semester without presenting study documents, which will be brought until the studies finish in Romania.

In the event in which these documents cannot be recovered due to the effects of the war or the political-military context, studies will be equated in a non-formal or informal system, just as the European and national legislation states, Agerpres.ro informs.

"This way, we ensure all young refugees that wish to continue their studies in Suceava that USV will carry out all necessary efforts so that their integration in the Suceava academic environment to be quick and successful. Furthermore, they will benefit from high quality human resources, as well as infrastructure that is equipped to European standards, so that their academic path in USV to be a successful one," the USV leadership also specifies.
