Romania's priority goal is to open the gas inter-connector between Greece and Bulgaria, this summer or at the latest at the end of the year, Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca said on Sunday evening at the private TV broadcaster Digi24.

"We have as our first goal the opening of the gas inter-connector between Greece and Bulgaria, which will happen in June, following that, at the earliest, in October, at the latest by the end of the year, we will actually have gas to be injected through that inter-connector and then there is the possibility to use liquefied gas that can be injected through the Alexandropolis terminal," said the premier.

He stressed that this project "is essential not only for us, but it is about everything that means future projects and its importance in the gas circuit both on the vertical corridor and on the corridor that we have already achieved, on the BRUA infrastructure".

At the same time, he said the Offshore Act would enter Parliament in "one month - maximum two". Agerpres
