The Minister of National Defence, Vasile Dincu, will meet on Monday with the Minister of Defence of the Netherlands, Kajsa Ollongren, at the southeastern Mihail Kogalniceanu Military Air Base 57.
Currently, at the Mihail Kogalniceanu air base is a squad of approximately 150 soldiers belonging to the 11th Airmobile Brigade of the Netherlands, deployed in Romania to participate, during the period of March 7 - 24, in the multinational exercise "Rapid Falcon 22" from the Babadag Secondary Combat Training Center, Tulcea county.
Soldiers from the Captain Stefan Soverth 495 Paratroopers Battalion, from Bucharest and the Marasesti 9th Mechanized Brigade in Constanta, as well as Romanian and American helicopters, are taking part in the exercise.
According to the Ministry of National Defence (MApN), the objectives of this exercise are common training, increasing inter-operability and joint reaction capacity, as well as developing functional relations between participating structures.
