The Stela Popescu Theater will perform the artistic project "Woman, the eternal story" between March 10 and 16, during the events that will take place at Romania's gazebo at Expo 2020 Dubai, according to a press release sent by the culture institution to AGERPRES.

"Woman, the eternal story", a concept by Ema Stere, directed by Attila Vizauer and set designer Anca Albani, is an original artistic dance theater project, adapted by Ioana Macarie after the play with the same name of the Stela Popescu Theater repertoire.

"For a young theater such as ours, this participation means a great deal. It is an extraordinary opportunity for the Stela Popescu Theater to be a cultural ambassador of Romania, of Bucharest and in this sense the artists have made great efforts in order to build a representative and relevant program for the cosmopolitan audience. The place where the World Exhibition is taking place is one for the future, for dreams that became reality and challenges that offer us the opportunity to evolve. Nothing would have been made possible without faith, imagination and lessons learned from history. That is the reason why our theater proposes a project that ties the past to the future, between history and perennial human values," actor Cristian Sofron, director of Stela Popescu Theater, said.

The show casts Crina Matei, Daniel Filipescu, Andrei Dogaru, Cristina Marin Neagu, Alexandra Dogaru, Silvia Mauritiu.

In the artists's conception, this program proposal will promote both Bucharest, as well as Romania, bringing into the spotlight the cosmopolitan and full of artistic exuberance society of Romania's capital during its glory days of the interwar period, the press release reads.
