The first busses with Ukrainian citizens have crossed Albita Border Crossing Point (PTF Albita), on Monday evening and throughout the night, receiving support from the authorities and the volunteers present in the border area.

The refugees were taken over by volunteers with the Husi Bishopric and the Red Cross, and by employees with the Husi City Hall and the Vaslui County Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (ISU) and were directed to the specially set up places, depending on requests and needs.

"There were persons who left directly to other cities, being only in transit through PTF Albita. They received food, warm tea and other strict necessity products, and some chose to stay overnight and rest, in order to continue their road later," said the representatives of the Vaslui County Inspectorate for Emergency Situations.

The authorities have set up in Husi and Barlad modular camps for Ukrainian refugees. Furthermore, representatives of the Husi Bishopric have prepared several accommodation spaces in monasteries in the county and other spaces of the institution.

Several NGOs, but also individuals, mobilized in the past days, collecting aid for Ukrainian citizens that enter Romania through PTF Albita.
