Twenty-nine migrants from Africa and Asia were discovered, in the past 24 hours, by the authorities in the Border Crossing Point Nadlac II, while trying to illegally exit the country, hidden in two tractor-trailers going to the Netherlands.

The drivers, Turkish citizens, were transporting, according to the documents accompanying the freight, furniture and metal products for companies in the Netherlands.

"On the basis of the risk analysis, border guards conducted a thorough search of the two vehicles. Thus, they discovered, hidden in the freight compartment, in the storage crates on the lateral sides of the trailer, 29 foreign citizens. The persons were taken over and transported to the headquarters of the sector for investigations where, following checks, the border guards have established they are citizens of different states (Syria, Turkey, India, Bangladesh, Guinea, Congo, Yemen, Eritrea, Somalia), with ages between 18 and 40 years old," informed, on Tuesday, the Arad Border Police.
