The Government approved, in Wednesday's meeting, the National Drug Strategy 2022 - 2026 and the action plan for its implementation.
According to a government press release, the aim of the strategy is to establish an approach aimed at achieving lasting results concerning the drug issues at the national level, adding surplus value to the approach of the phenomenon in the European context, "by resilient and customized adjustment of support and guidance measures".
"The strategy aims to reduce drug demand and supply through cross-cutting themes: coordination, international cooperation and research, evaluation and information," reads the release.
