Romanian Education Minister Sorin Cimpeanu says that he will try to identify legal solutions for assigning special enrollments with Romania's high schools to 8th grade graduates from Ukraine who will not be able to sit the National Assessment test because they do not know Romanian but want to learn it.

Cimpeanu met on Friday Romanian and Ukrainian teachers involved in the education of refugee children to look into the particularities of all categories of preschoolers and students who, following the armed conflict in Ukraine, are in Romania, so that measures for them are adjusted to secure their right to education.

According to the minister, the Ministry of Education via school inspectorates will also provide support in allocating teaching positions at the request of schools where Ukrainian children study, as there is a need for both teachers and administrative staff, and especially for communication psychologists that can speak the language of Ukrainian children, Agerpres informs.
