The Minister of Development, Public Works and Administration, Cseke Attila, announces the approval of an emergency ordinance at Wednesday's government meeting, according to which the financial framework for the National Investment Programme "Anghel Saligny" will reach 65.5 billion lei, Agerpres reports.

Cseke explained that the measure aims to supplement the financial limit for the "Anghel Saligny" Programme on the segment of investments in roads and bridges, where 20 billion lei were initially allocated. Thus, as a whole, the "Anghel Saligny" Programme will have 65.5 billion lei, of which: 22.5 billion lei will be for investments in water and sewerage, 30 billion lei will be for roads and bridges, and 13 billion lei lei will be for natural gas distribution systems.

A second measure regards 105 projects to be taken over from the Large Infrastructure Operational Programme (POIM), to build a 6,605-kilometre natural gas network and to establish 229,900 connections for 166 administrative-territorial units. The projects will be taken over within 15 days from the publication of the GEO. The Ministry of European Investments and Projects (MIPE) will transfer the technical documentation of these projects to the Ministry of Development, and financing agreements will be concluded with all the respective authorities, after which the necessary information will be uploaded in the digital platform of the "Anghel Saligny" Programme.
